My name is Carleen Conde, and I am a Board-Certified Family Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for delivering comprehensive, compassionate healthcare. With over five years of experience practicing at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital Center, I have honed my skills in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where precision, competence, and care are paramount. My journey in nursing began over a decade ago, and it has been a deeply rewarding and educational experience, shaping me into the professional I am today.

I started my career as an Operating Room Nurse, dedicating six years to working closely with multidisciplinary teams in the high-intensity field of Vascular Surgery. This role allowed me to develop a robust understanding of surgical procedures, patient care, and the critical importance of meticulous attention to detail. The operating room is a unique environment where teamwork and swift decision-making can have life-altering consequences, and it was here that I learned the value of collaborative practice and surgical precision.

Transitioning from the operating room to a Family Health Nurse Practitioner role has been a natural progression in my career. It has allowed me to expand my scope of practice to include primary care, patient education, and health promotion across the lifespan. The experience I gained in trauma and surgical settings has provided me with a solid foundation to address complex health issues with a calm and methodical approach. I am committed to providing holistic care that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of my patients.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am also a full-time Nursing College Professor. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of nurses. It is incredibly fulfilling to mentor students, fostering their professional growth and helping them develop the skills they need to excel in diverse healthcare environments. I strive to create a dynamic, engaging learning atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, empathy, and lifelong learning.

My professional journey is fueled by a deep-seated commitment to patient care and education. Whether in the trauma center, the operating room, or the classroom, my goal has always been to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I am honored to be a part of such a rewarding field and look forward to continuing my work as both a healthcare provider and an educator
